Background: My sister owns 2 units in Va. Beach, beachfront red week in 4-star for 15 years, uses both rooms every year for herself, kids & grandkids. My family rents there every year, same week, for about $275/night. We all love it and will always go.

Am planning on buying a deeded week rather than continue renting @ 2k/year. I've seen one room advertised @ $6500 on internet and two avail through realtor advertised @ $15k. Realtor states avg. selling price for units is 5-7k. (I thought this was very honest). All three units have been listed for a year or so.
So, all said, rent or buy? What's a reasonable offer? Is it worth a bit extra to go through realtor for service , title search, etc?
