If your dealing with the owner and the unit has been listed for sale more than a year try dealing!

We sold our unit years ago by renting with deal that if family wanted to buy then full amount of rent went on agreed price!

Had a verbel agreement but that was twenty years ago! Now I would have this in a written contract.

If you go every year then work a deal with a owner to rent his unit and if you like it you will buy at a agreed price and your rental fee will be deducted like down payment!

I wouldn't tell this owner you go every year but that you are going same time as your sister who owns there and you are thinking of buying a unit if you like the resort!

I would also drop the news that you have started looking at Redweek and Tug about resales and how to buy!

Most owners will know what your talking about and know you are doing your home work and get good deal some where if not with them!

I would say dealing with the owner after a year you are calling the shots and owner probably couldn't wait to make good deal with you! Its not like the bus ruling that there will be another along in few minutes. After you he might be waiting another year!

Set your price and try to make deal and if owner doesn't deal move on to another owner!

I had a post on here months ago about a friend of ours and how he goes on vacation every year by renting top timeshares and gets his price and weeks everytime!

He will list the resort and size/view he wants then list all the owners with ads in his address book so when he sends his offer it goes to all the people and they can see everyone that gets this e-mail!

He list his terms and tells them first one to make his deal to contact him.

He wanted us to go to Cancun few years ago with his family to Royal Caribbean and I told him there was no way he could get us a unit in this short of time and he proved me wrong. As we sit in the pool with our drinks he rubbed it in to me and laughed! He did get the unit and resort he wanted and at his price and this is why he says he would never buy one!

Two years later he did same thing and within a two month period he booked the Weston in Maui and we went with them again!

If your first offer doesn't work try this and it will get you your unit!
