On another note, HOAs and developers realize that owners are responsible for maintenance fees until the unit/week changes hands (ie: sold). Even after an owner's death their estate is still responsible for paying maintenance fees. Again, another hostage situation ..... they never tell you that maintenance fees will rise yearly (some skyrocketing) when trying to sell you a week of timeshare.
