I was in touch with a gal(on line) who had done that. The MC recommends an attorney's office in FL. where an assistant does the work for the closing. She is legit. I think the attorney signs off in it. In NY, you have to have an attorney to close the deal. If you sell it to someone, the MC requires a $1,000. If you gift it, there's no charge by the MC. The person ,we're gifting it to, will pay a total of $1,400. -$1,500.for all the different fees. Like I said the MC has the right of refusal(they have 30 days for that.) Then the gal in FL. gets the deed from the NY system and does all the other work. I could give you her name(and the name of the attorney). I also called the MC directly and got the same info. I get the impression that a number of people are doing this just to GET OUT!
