I have sold off TWO timeshare weeks during the past year, neither of them at "giveaway" prices --- and one of them for a bit MORE money than I paid (resale, of course) in the first place. That said, neither one was in Hawaii.

With all due respect, one serious disadvantage you currently have for a Maui (...or any other Hawaii...) timeshare is high (...and going nowhere but higher still) airfare costs to even GET TO Hawaii in the first place! Travel costs to GET TO a vacation destination are obviously an integral part of any "value" equation --- along with maintenance fee amounts and obligations, in the case of timeshare buyers. In addition, Maui County in particular seems to be continually inventing and imposing assorted new taxes and fees on non-residents in recent years, which also tends to lessen the interest and enthusiasm of savvy would-be buyers of Maui timeshares. "Why buy at all, with all those annual, ongoing obligations, when there are so many weeks for rent at such reasonable prices?" is a question many folks now ask themselves (...for anywhere, most certainly including Hawaii).

I wish you luck and success, but the timeshare resale market is soft (...at best) right now --- and the current high cost of travel to Hawaii is certainly NOT working in your favor either...
