Thankfully this was resolved not too long after we got back from our trip, and consulted with an attorney. We received all of our money back. I love the travelshares we have with RCI but will never buy specifically with one place as in a timeshare. What our attorney has advised us is even if we continued with them and did not pay those fees monthly, that it would be illegal for them to report us to the credit bureau negatively. Something with them doing that and being out of state. Thankfully we did not have to go through all that. We love NYC and we can definitely stay pretty much anywhere for less money than all those fees, and of course we have to book somewhere with enough notice. I hope that people will read this and make a good informed decision before buying into it. Good luck to all. I did go through the process with the attorney's help and paying him a couple of hundred bucks to file complaints against the individuals we dealt with on their license was well worth it.
