Luanne- as with anyone you want to do business with you should ask for references. While this is not a guarantee, it is better than taking someones word that they are indeed a timeshare owner or at least have access to the points to be able to get the reservation made for you. I do hundreds of rentals on behalf of Wyndham owners and If I was asked (which I am all the time) to provide a renter with some level of satisfaction, that is, assurance that the unit they are paying for will be there, I will email them the confirmation, give them references from past renters, maybe an owner, and tell them to check us out on the BBB. Also, using a payment method such as PayPal will give you as a renter some recourse to recoup your money if you do not receive the product or service for which you paid.
