As for someone purchasing your timeshare if you are an owner: your points at this time have very little value, by that I basically mean worthless. What is valuable is your status, at least for Wyndham owners. The discounts and free upgrades are what are desirable, this is what owners have paid through the nose for. There are billions of points out there for sale at extremely low prices. The market is inundated with points, and as Ken stated about market forces dictating the price you receive for a rental, the same goes for selling your timeshare. Any company asking an upfront fee is, I can confidently say, whether it is for rental or selling your timeshare, is going to take you for a ride. The most likely scenario, if you have a decent deed size, a desirable home resort, is that someone will take this off your hands if you are willing to pay all of the cost to transfer the deed. As I stated earlier, sorry to say it, but your points themselves are basically without value. Again, it is the status that gives your ownership value.
