I had 29 years left on my lease, but the Timeshare was paid in full. After numerous call and failure to pay the increased fee and the never ending special special assessments, Land'or contacted me and offered me the chance to buy out of my contract for $3,000. I owed them $1,500 at that point. So I sent them the money, they sent me a letter releasing me of my obligations, plus they gave deposit three weeks into RCI for me.

For all you remaining owners, I feel your pain and can only Imagine what kind of special hurricane assessment they are going to hit you up for after Hurrican Irene blows through. With any luck, it will level the place, releasing you all from the Land'or money pit.
