Arnold don't ever think of yourself as an idiot for asking before you give someone money to sell or rent your timeshare. If more people would ask first the scam artists would be out of business. There are many different ways to rent or sell your properties. Use one or more sites like Redweek to advertise. You can always use a service for those purposes but never pay an upfront fee. If someone claims they can sell your property for a large sum it's a scam. Unless it's one of a few select timeshares it has very little or no value. Keep asking questions. Hopefully someone will be able to give you sound advice to help you.
