I have heard unpleasant experience stories about RCI exchange resorts. Two years ago we were looking to exchange to Florida so we could drive and I picked a few places in RCI that were fairly close to dear friends down there and they looked fine in the directory. Older and not fancy but that was ok with us. She is in real estate and in her travels she went to the ones I chose and nosed around and said only one was acceptable.

Land'or has tremendously expanded their exchange network. The same resorts appear in multiple exchange networks. I am sure RCI charges a resort to handle exchanges so why not do their own. Seems to me that would keep costs down and help the corporation and the membership. RCI referred a friend of mine to Flex Plus via a special 800 number to exchange their Land'or weeks and everything went well.
