Are all timeshare presentations high pressure? (by R P.):

I have been "invited" to six or seven timeshare presentations in the last four(ish) years. I went to all of them after I haggled them down to an almost free weekend (if they were not free before).

All of them have been such high pressure, must-sell/must-buy, affairs that I get immediately turned off. I've been to Festiva owned placed, Wyhndam, Williamsburg, etc, etc. None of them were even remotely what they were advertised to be. None of the presentations were "90 minutes" unless "90 minutes" has been redefined into 6 hours.

I'm pretty stubborn so I'm not going to buy anything like that without doing the proper digging.

That brings me to my question: Are there any places that offer a more relaxed sales atmosphere? I wouldn't mind going on a couple more cheap weekend vaycays as long as I'm not too hassled.

Thanks all.

Most timeshare presentations are high pressure .... if they don't sell you the first time then they send in another member of the sales group to try to influence you ..... this can go on for many hours.

Bottom line, if you go to presentations for the freebies then you'll have to put up with the high pressure sales spiel.
