Depending on your cost per point this might not be the most profitable way but it usually is the easiest. You are actually renting the points and not the reservation and the person renting also has Marriott vacation club points account and the points transfer account to account. On Redweek, I would reserve something popular and then advertise that week. If you advertising floating, etc, by the time most potential renters contact you the popular dates will not have any availability.
