All of your comments are relevant. City hotel-timeshares are not for everyone, but they do offer new options for owners who may want to switch vacation plans as they get older and kids move on. Time will tell whether the availability of urban timeshares increases sales for Marriott or real flexibility for owners. One thing for sure: all major timeshare developers are trying to expand vacation options so people can use points for more activities, including guided tours, golf outings, cruises, theme parks, cars and airplane tickets, among other "experiences."
