Re: Resort management has changed from Southwind to the Colonnade (by R S.):
I was there the week of May 21-25 and went by both Grand Regency and the Colannade and both were completely deserted with no sign of life. The Colannade did have a sign on the door to with a phone # to call if assistance was needed. Grand Regency still had tvs piled up in the parking lot and looked run down with plywood over the doors. I will not send them any money until the Grand Regency is completely open and back on II and able to be deposited for trade and I would suggest all other owners do the same thing. I believe I am owed several hundred dollars since most of my "fees" went in someone's pocket instead of into the property for several years. I bought in 2002 and have never seen evidence of "updates" at the Grand Regency. I have been thru several owners and management companies for the property and no one as been responsible. I have contacted the Attorney General, BBB, and everyone other office recommended on this site and no one has responded so I have no hope of anything ever changing there. The Spinnaker group sold us this property and soon dumped out of it and passed it to the son that squandered it and spent most of the original money put into the property. I'm not sure why there is nothing that can be done since money was embezzled unless this is just the "timeshare" lifestyle. Good luck to those of you that think things will get better.
