I'm inclined to agree with your RIP OFF assessment. A IBD ""Timeshare Marketing Specialist has been calling me regularly since about May 10. The items he e-mailed to me are not very convincing and neither is the "Money-Back Guarantee." His verbally stated up front price is less than half of the $689 you mentioned, and he alleges IBD will send me a $500 gift certificate if my Red Week 21 is not sold within 90 days. IBD refuses to provide verifiable references. A reputable timeshare seller in my city advises strongly against paying up front fees, especially if the organization demands yoiur credit card number & expiration date.
