Omega Marketing Solutions any one had dealings with them?
lisab680 wrote:OK, here is the scenario. A lawyer or rep from Omega marketing doesn't show up and you win a judgement. Now you have to try and collect. Do you think that would be any easier? Maybe you could sell your judgement to a collection agency for 50 cents on the dollar.I consulted with a lawyer friend regarding class action and he advised that the best way would be if each person filed in their small claims court...Omega would have to send a lawyer to each court, would not want to deal with expense to travel to each city and would most probably settle out of court. Only the lawyers make money in class action, payout per person is generally very small. I am filing in small claims court.

I am within my "7 day window" of being scammed by OmegaMarketingSolutions.com. I stupidly paid them $900 upfront on my Visa card, which Bank of America identified promptly as FRAUD. I began contacting them Saturday requesting my 1st cancellation request. They did call me back today, trying to say they would advertise a year. I send 2nd cancellation phone calls and emails today. The numbers I have are as follows: Broker Steve Bedard cell 727-678-7060. Toll free #: 866-270-1911, x201, x100, x103. Fax #: 727-321-9513. I have not signed the contract;however, we shall see if I get my money back. Jennifer

That's what banks do. If someone charges your visa with your card number, the bank will allow it to go through, that's what happened to me. I tried to stop it from going through and my bank told me that it couldn't be stopped because they use it as a credit card, and those payments once made are automatically charged. I filed a fraud case with my bank which is Suntrust, it's been 3 months and I'm still waiting for my money back. I was finally contacted yesterday by the disputes department at my bank and they said that they needed more of a statement from me about what took place. I was so angry because I've been with them for 30 years. I told the rep on the phone everything that happened from day one and I asked her why it's taking so long. She said that it's in dispute because I gave Chris Brooks my card number, so that doesn't constitute fraud, how can stealing money out of my account without my authorization not constitute fraud I told her. I continued to tell her the story of his lies and I also told her about all of you who have been scammed, she said that she understood and she would put my claim in as fraud. You need to call the fraud department of your bank and tell them verbally your story from beginning to end and all the lies they told. Also tell them about us and how we are fighting to get them shut down. Let them know that you've put in a claim with the BBB, 7 On your Side and every other medium to get them brought to light and shut down. That way they know that you are serious and not wasting their time because all they know is that you gave them your card number which authorized them to take money from your account. I told her how pissed and angry I am that they prey on people at a time when people are desperate to get out of debt or to keep their homes. I want them to pay for hurting people and I told her that whether I get my money back or not, I'm on a mission to stop Omega Marketing LIARS. The only reason I did do it was because Chris Brooks told me that there were 2 people waiting in line to buy my timeshare and all I could think about was getting rid of another debt and paying for my son's college loans. Because of Chris Brooks, I am in a worse financial situation than before. I hope that the representative at my bank look into it and see that they have been scamming people for years and get me my money back. Hang in there, Omega Marketing will pay for what they're doing.

Dear Ginah68, I know exactly how you feel. I was stupid enough to open a new credit card last June to give to Brendan O'Neil. Now I am in worse shape than last year at this time. He assured me he would work on my case to get it sold himself. Now he's not even working for Omega...unless he changed his name to Chris Brooks! All I keep getting from them is promises, promises.

I had the same problem. I gave Omega Marketing $600 Dollars back in June 2007. Have not heard a thing from them. Now there is another Company called Resort Equity Marketing (rem2rent.com) that is solicitating me on how they can sell my Timeshare. They claim they only deal with major companies, like nike, pepsi, coca-cola, etc....They want $899. As bad as I want to sell this Timeshare I am very leary about giving away anymore money that I don't have.

You need to stop paying big bucks to these companies and start advertising on the various websites (RedWeek, TUG, myresortnetwork, eBay, etc). Which will be more exposure than some of the upfront fee companies will get. You also need to get a good handle as to how much your TS is really worth (many are not worth more than $1).

Never pay any company an upfront fee in the hundreds of dollars to list your timeshare in a database that nobody will ever see.

I am so glad I found this Forum. Twice this week a call came in from this OMS company. When I Googled the number that they were calling from I came upon this Forum. I have been receiving a lot of calls this week from so-called Timeshare sellers and rental groups that I don't even know which ones are scams. I have been scammed by Vacation Register several years ago when I paid their upfront fee of $600.00 and several years later my Timeshare still has not been sold or even rented once. So people beware of that company also.

I think they are all a scam. I have mine listed with 4 of them and thought I had learned. But Omega told me they had my TS sold. The last place that called, I told them I would give it to them if they could get back the money I spent on scams. But all they wanted is more money.

ALL UPFRONT FEE (in the hundreds of dollars) resale companies are SCAMS ..... don't even be tempted. They will tell you ANYTHING to get that upfront fee.

I would really like to have my $700.00 back from Omega. They scammed me in October 2006. My husband has cancer now and I could really use the money to pay medical bills.
Which reminded me when I spoke with the jerk at Omega. He did not care if you had big biils or you were unemployed by job loss. That should have told me something right there. They don't care if they break you and then not provide their promised services to sell your timeshare. It is amazing now when I tell these shysters that I have huge medical bills due to my husband's cancer, they do not care. Just so they can swindle you. Also stay away from those internet messages that tell you that you have won 2 million dollars in oversea lotteries. They are all scams. Let me know when a class action suit is filed.

ALL UPFRONT FEE COMAPANIES are thieves, scams, swindlers and crooks. I can just hear all the laughter in their office when they've scammed someone's hard earned money.

I just recieved a refund from this company about two months ago, you just need to argue with them, as well as let them know you are contacting the Better Business Bureau. I invested lots of money with this company, I had to contact the attorney general in California, as well as Florida to get results. I also have read other areas on the internet that state that they are no longer running a sales team at Omega Marketing Solutions, I read many areas that state that they were shut down, and are only operating a customer service department at the Clearwater, Florida address. Which appears to be very small considering the people that have been answering customer service for years they state no longer are there, and the same lady is always answering the phone. I tend to believe that they are officially out of business due to the many areas stating this on the internet. It appears that registered agent on file is Donald Wood. The company's address changed from a mailing address of 36181 East Lake Rd Suite #30, Palm Harbor, Florida 34685 to now active address as of 3/24/2009. My attorney noticed that the previous address was also a Palm Harbor, Florida address of 4301 Lavender Dr, Palm Harbor, Florida. This address address was also registered to the same name above. Even though my money was refunded I truly wish my agent would have contacted me, and given me the respect that I gave her during our previous conversations.

I spoke to the manager today in reference to a trasaction charge. All you need to do is express the fact that you did not know anything about this transaction that you want to come off. You need to make it appear like Omega or the agent made a big mistake, and you were never aware of this transaction and they will credit your account back. My husband has passed away and money is now a little tighter than it was previously, so I am having to whatever necessary to make sure my bills are paid. Thank you to all that emailed me previously with all the different ways to get reimbursed back from Omega and other sililiar companies.

Hi st107, I did tell my bank that I knew nothing about the transactions because it is true. Omega was taking money out of my account without me knowing or my authorization and I still am fighting to get my money back. My bank is still doing what they call in investigation instead of just reimbursing me. I explained to them that they were charging my account without my consent, but tjey want to keep going back and forth with Omega. They said they need to hear back from Omega and the case is still pending. It's so frustrating because I've been with this bank for 30 years and nothing like this has ever happened before. It's as if they don't believe me and are not fighting for me at all. I told my branch manager that if I don't get a refund, I am leaving that bank. I sent them all the blogs and complaints, the emails from BBB and everything to show that this company is a scam and they frauded me. I called the disputes office at my bank yesterday and the representative said that they are waiting for Omega to respond and they have until July 18. What kind of crap is that. Omega is just going to lie or not respond at all. I'm going to keep fighting for my refund.

ginah68 Hi st107, I did tell my bank that I knew nothing about the transactions because it is true. Omega was taking money out of my account without me knowing or my authorization and I still am fighting to get my money back... First thing is to close the account. This will stop Omega from withdrawing anymore funds. Then you can focus on the battle to get your refund.

I was taken by Omega Marketing Solutions, LLC and the agent Steve power back in March. I have never authorized my card to be charged at all. I finally got a call back from Mr. Power, and he tells me my wife authorized everything. My wife passed away nine years ago, and I tried to explain this to him, and he hung up on me. I then got a call from him again in April towards the middle of the month, and he was stating he was sorry, and he would get me taken care of with that charge. I then noticed on my next statement that I got another charge for 499.00, and I already paid them 854.00. I have never signed a contract, my son inlaw is a attorney and is working on this and is advising me to the next stage, but he expalins to me that because of my age, and what has occured that I can be compensated since he took advantage of the elderly. He explained to me that I can not hold Mr. Power responsible, but that I can hold Omega Marketing Solutions responsible, and the registered agent, they will have to reimburse me plus pay damages. I see they have been preying on many people and getting away with it, they will soon see that I was not a good one to do this to. I also have found out that due to the fact that it was done over the telephone and mail, it will be done through the United States federal court system, and jurisdiction will be held in my state.
If anyone out there needs any information please feel free to contact me directly by email, and I can forward you all the correct information to be in contact with my attorney. We as elderly americans, cant allow this to happen. I will do whatever necessary to make sure that this is resolved and they never prey on any other elderly humans.
