Anyone heard of timeshare Travels
I would not go with any company that has a big fee up front. That way they have already made their profit and all they have to do is post it to say they tried. What is their incentive to sell it when they have pocketed the money already?
Try Bidshares.com The basic service is free. What is it your are trying to sell? If you search on the web for that unit you can see what people are asking for it and then see what sales have occurred. They frequently sell for 30 to 50% of the retail price.

Do not use these people. They proposed the same thing to me. The company was called Timeshare Travels, Inc. They will call you for the first week straight and then afterwards you will never hear from them again. 7 days is the period where you can get your money back. Save your money. Use any other company. I've had a terrible experience with them.

I ended up giving the Timeshare Travels salesman, Robert Smart my Master card last night and am having buyer's remorse. I did see that they satisfied the Attorney General office and paid their fine.So maybe they are okay now? Would like to hear your comments.
Is it possible to sell a timeshare on your own? I looked on EBay and no one was bidding except on one property in Hawaii.
thanks, Dorinda

Having buyer's remorse, you say? Why in the world would you hand over your credit card number to an upfront fee company when it's plastered all over these forums to NEVER PAY AN UPFRONT FEE IN THE HUNDREDS/THOUSDANDS OF DOLLARS to any resale company to list your timeshare. All they want is your upfront fee. You can try disputing the charge with your credit card company, but if you willingly gave your number to the agent, then it may be too late.

I did it because I wanted to believe he could sell it. I didn't know about this forum until I went looking for information on this company.
I just called him and left a voice mail telling him to cancel. His call was Saturday night and this is the first business day. I plan to fight any credit card charges that may appear.

There are a few timeshare resale companies that charge a flat fee of $1500 (or a percentage of the selling price) if the timeshare sells.
The best way is for you to try to sell it yourself on internet listing sites such as Redweek, MyResortNetwork, Bidshares, Ebay etc., but be aware that some timeshare weeks can't even be given away for free and this economy is not helping any.

If you use the forum "search" function, you'll find lots and lots of posts on the subject of selling a timeshare.
The bottom line is that the economy is weak and timeshare resales are very difficult indeed unless it's a highly desirable week / location. You are better off forgetting about any and all "third party resellers" and instead make the effort to try to sell it yourself (...AFTER reading through many of the suggestions and details you can easily retrieve in a ''search" [see above right green button "I want to..." for easily accessing the RedWeek "search" function]).
No third party reseller, regardless of who or where they may be, has ANY "magic bullet" to offer you. They will merely charge you serious money for doing the exact same things which you can do for yourself with minimal effort --- and at a MUCH lower cost.

Chris Torti is back with his scam(s) Just talked to him 2 days ago and he tried to scam me for $1100 to sell my timeshare in Hurghada (Egypt) to buyers he has "lined-up". This time he's affiliated with timesharedepotinc.com He claimed his company has been in business 19 years and never had a complaint. His company TimeShare Depot International Inc. has actually been registered in the State of Florida in Sep. 2009 by a Belinda Suarez
