Now Offering Full-Service Rentals!
Please explain the new "before tax" and service charges.
I was ready to post a listing of a timeshare rental and was checking rental prices asked by other owners of weeks. That's when I saw the prices listed "before tax," and then noticing that many listings had huge extra charges added to them for the renters. What's going on? In past years, I've paid the $99 full service fee on top of the $59 listing fee.
Can someone explain why the previously simple and economical approach to renting timeshare has become so complicated and expensive?
Many thanks, R
Richard H.
Have I noticed a change in your rental service fees? I don't remember there being a 6 month duration period if you selected the mid range rental package for owners nor do I remember having to pay $99 once the unit was rented. Why do you receive $99 when we are already paying your for the service?

Sad about the new "Redweek Verified" required paying service fee to both renters and owners.
I have rented on Redweek for years and never had a problem or a need to have a paid middleman (Person).
I hope this works as I am sure there will be renters/owners who go to other services.

We have been using Redweek for several years, always using the full-service as I find it nice to let Redweek handle everything. We have always dealt with Tiffany; I am not sure if you have outsourced your customer service, but the lack of response and follow up is the worst I have ever experienced. Unfortunately there are not many other platforms available for timeshare rentals, so really disappointed in whatever is going on with Redweek.

It's a MUCH BIGGER money grab now! We no longer have a choice to rent out our timeshare ourselves! I have used Redweek for well over 25 years and just pulled two of my new ads. They are now adding over 10% to our rental fee for them to pocket. They already charge a membership, a listing fee, and a verification fee (all of which I was fine with) but NOW they are making my units even higher priced! I can barely get my maintenance fee on a couple of our Marriott's the way it is - and now an extra 10%!!! Any suggestions on other places to use to rent that you have been happy with? Looking for owners to share ideas, as Redweek is NOT what it used to be!!

I notice the new changes of increased fees on each posting. Owners no longer have any option to interact directly with renter and workout the rental on their own. Redweek forces the “enable online” function. After being a member for the past 23 years, I decidedly to quit Redweek. I requested refund for my posting and membership renewal few days ago. ,Now I’m looking into Tug2.net. It offers free 25 listings with only $15 yearly membership. The Customer Service has been responsive to me effectively even on weekend.

It's hard to imagine that the new RedWeek business plan is going to work for them. If they just charged the $99 when rented and not the $49 or $59 up-front fee, it might work, but the new RedWeek model requiring both an up-front fee and a $99 fee upon completion is difficult to accept.
It does appear that RedWeek is investing more in making their rental service more visible in Google search results, so there may be a greater volume of prospective renters. However, even if that is the case, the increased visibility would not make RedWeek competitive with TUG or KOALA--both of which offer better listing plans.
After using RedWeek for several years as my go-to listing service, in the future I will use RedWeek only if the other listing services are not successful.

I've rented my timeshares on my own for over 20 years and have always used and recommended Redweek. Sadly, I will have to advertise my resort rentals elsewhere and encourage my customer database of over 200 clients to avoid using Redweek. It's very frustrating to see Redweek take over my business so they can charge an extra $99 and make the process much more complicated for all parties.

It looks to me that you have raised your pricing beyond what people are willing to part with. No way to contact you on explanation of this either. It should have been mentioned upon renewal of membership as an option to rejoin or not. Very deceptive practice Redweek. I’ve beenhandling all of my rentals myself and I’ve never had one issue over the years. Looks like it is just another way for a greedy company to get in on the action. Red week is losing my business And that has been for the past 15 years.

I am an experience renter of my timeshares when we are not using them. Just yesterday May 10th I posted a rental and now I see that a service fee has been added to the rental price. I did not sign up for this, perhaps I did it inadvertently. I will contact Customer Service. I have repeating renters and do not want them to pay a fee...for what? when they feel confident booking with me as an owner.
