Redweek once again changing listing format to benefit them.

Goodbye Red Week. 25-year member with 5 winter rental listings per year, I am heading elsewhere. Disgusted. I am trying TUG - it is a very well-done organized website, and it is inexpensive. https://tug2.com/home

I have been a member of Redweek since 2010 (I own 12 weeks). I'm beyond upset with all the abuse from Redweed. You simply can't change the rules like that. I had already paid for several ads and could no longer modify anything other than the price. I hope that TUG copies Redweek's listing display set up (it was great before all their changes) and then we can continue to enjoy placing OUR OWN ads and dealing directly with the renters ourselves. I think that slowly TUG (if they play their cards right) can grow just like Redweek did. It will take time of course. Anyway, I for one am out of Redweek!! Goodbye greed. I've placed some ads for rent on Tug and hopefully...(I did rent 2).

I have used Redweek in the past and have been pleased. Of course in the past I did not use the "verified" option as I figured it was a hustle for them to grab my money and make me wait until the rental took place to be reimbursed. I am about to rent my unit for this year but just realized the only option is for them to collect the fee. The problem is my unit usually rents at least two months before the actual date. I don't know why they do not compromise with owners and adjust their policy to pay you, when the customers pays????? That makes sense because the current policy of holding YOUR $$$$$ until after your customer has checked in, seems a bit shaky if not an old school slight of hands. I will be exploring other rental firms as no doubt Redweek is a brand vacationers use, however their current policy is not beneficial for owners. One more point, it would be one thing if they offered some consideration or interest from the time they received the rental fee as fair compensation for having access to your money.

I agree totally. I have used Redweek for a very long time - over ten years. I tried to post my listing today and it appears I cannot have direct renting with a potential renter. I own timeshares that have no affiliation with Marrioitt or Hyatt or other timeshare companies and I have to 'contact' Redweek. I used to be able to just copy my previous advertisement for my week, update the listing and repost. I have no trouble paying the posting charge (although Redweek has gone from $19.99 to post to $59.99) but now Redweek appears to be the 'gatekeeper' of the ad. I am going to go to TUG.net and post there. Is there any other reliable timeshare rental program that is online that allows me to post my timeshare week for rent without all the rigamarole of the Redweek posting?

I just posted 4 ads on TUG for nothing. Hopefully people become aware of TUG and I can rent directly again. TUG has always been my go to website. I purchased 3 or 4 timeshares through TUG and got great deals and everything worked out fine. Redweek has really lost my business forever.
