For those interested in the outcome of Murillo vs. RCI, the class action lawsuit initially filed in April, 2006 (concerning RCI direct rental of deposits to the general public instead of making them availabile to RCI members as exchanges), I have today posted a summary of the key points and current terms of the proposed settlement agreement in the RedWeek "General Discussion" forum. The agreement has not yet been approved by the U.S. District Court where the case was heard. Preliminary approval hearing is now scheduled for 12/15/08. You can draw your own conclusions about the proposed settlement agreement in this class action lawsuit. My own personal opinion is that the proposed settlement agreement in its current form is a joke --- not the least bit funny, but still a joke nonetheless...
