Buying Airline Credit Vouchers ~ Save on travel or not?

Jun 19, 2009

Good news and bad news about buying airline credits and vouchers ~ My bad experiences have been on Craigslist as it's a lot more risky than eBay. You want to be sure to read the small print and double check the expiration date (if any) to be sure it works for your travel dates. If buying on eBay, please be cautious of the sellers (pay attention to feedback left by other buyers). We went to Maui last year and I bought $800 worth of airline credit for $500. The credit was applied to our airfare purchase upon checkout online. We also found a smokin deal on a timeshare rental too. It was an amazing trip for a fraction of what we would've spent had we not shopped on-line for airfare credits and a timeshare rental. Here's more on that...
