Questions About Marriott Grand Chateau Vegas

Hello! I am thinking about purchasing a "weeks" timeshare at Marriott Grand Chateau in Vegas. I have a couple of questions that I'm hoping someone knows the answer to:

1) If I plan to stay at the Grand Chateau in Vegas, do I have to use the entire week at once? Or can I split it up into smaller stays? 2) Marriott has recently converted to a points system and gives its "weeks" timeshare owners the chance to conver to points. Does anyone know how many points that a week in a 2BD/2BT unit would convert to?

Well, I've done a bit more reading, and I've already found the answer to the conversion question -- Marriott is no longer allowing people who buy on the resale market to convert to points. But if anyone has an answer to my question about splitting weeks, I'd appreciate it!
