Groups like these like to target owners of timeshares in Mexico. They'll likely tell you that they can sell your timeshare or already have buyer on the line who's ready to pay a fortune for your timeshare. Then they'll tell you that you just need to pay some outrageous fee to facilitate the sale.

Don't fall for it.

They also tell you to wire $2800 for some kind of bogus tax that will be reimbursed at closing .... you will never see that money again .... that's all they want.

Have you not read the above posts? If you're skeptical that they're a scam then go for it.

Mexican timeshare scams are proliferating the industry right now.

It's not just Mexico. Scam artists are honing in on owners of timeshares everywhere.

Many of these scam artists though are setting up shop in Mexico to evade the American authorities who are cracking down (somewhat) on these scams.

Regardless of where you own, never pay any large upfront fee.

Please advise what you did while dealing with Priortities Management. More information about them is need on the internet to help others make the right decisions.

They have approached us with our timeshare at LaJolla in Mazatlan and advising a buyer is wanting to buy about 6000 timeshares at La Jolla so more information needs to be put out here.

Priorities Management has advised that they completed a similar acquisition in April of this year, however it was with a different resort and I can not find anything on the internet confirming that this did happen.

Timeshare owner information is held as a matter of public record in Mexico.

Priorities Management advise that Centurion title will hold the 25% of the sale (good faith) for the seller.

Seller is responsible for 10% of the sale transfer expense.

That the current market value is .95 per point.

That the sale will take about 3-4 months to receive the full funds.

They both have websites prioritiesmanagement.com centuriontitle.com

Priorities Management Punto Sao Paulo, Avenida de Las Americas 1545 Colonia Providencia Guadalaiara, Jalisco Mexico Ph: 866-826-3322 Fax: 866-465-0994

If there is anyone else out there being approached please get the information out there.

If this were a legitimate offer, that 10% would come out of the proceeds of the sale.

So, if the rep of this company has the gall to call you back, tell him/her that the only way s/he is getting 10% is out of the proceeds of the sale

Just watch what happens if/when you tell this person that you're not putting out any money for this transaction. Their cut will come out of the funds that the buyer is paying - not the seller.

I have a friend who is always on these sites...she told me there was stuff posted about Prioritites Management and she knew I had dealt with this company to sell my Mayan membership....and told me to check it out. It looks like there are problems with selling your timeshare memberships, I guess I was lucky..I worked with this company early in 2012 to sell my studio, I did not have any problems....I did have to pay the transfer user fees to the resort but this was in my contract. I sent my funds and in about two weeks I received a receipt stating the funds had been paid on my behalf. It did take about 3 months for everything to go through but we received a wire transfer deposit inot a special account we had set up. We signed the documents sent via FedEx and returned them. Not sure about all the other stuff showing here, but this is my experience. Barb Seattle WA

You actually want us to believe that you sold a studio for $3000, in this economy (2012), over what you paid for it initially? This is a crock of bull .... you HAVE to be a shill for the company.

That's why I asked how much it was sold for. I can't understand how something you can purchase on Ebay for a few dollars would sell for $ 15,000.00. It has to be a scam.
