Six jailed in Orlando

Oct 18, 2012

I'm printing this exactly as it appeared in todays Orlando Sentinel:

Six people were indicted on federal charges in an alleged telemarketing fraud scheme were arrested in Orlando on Wednesday, police said. Rani Khoury 37, Amanda Rizkallah 30, Bradley Gomez 33, Kevin Frater 32, Fabian Fleifel 42, and Kari Cash 43 face charges of conspiracy to commit mail fraud. Authorities say the group called timeshare owners claiming a buyer was interested in their property. The telemarketers charged an upfront fee but there was no buyers investigators say. The six arrested in Orlando and four others were indicted by a federal grand jury in Texas. Investigators say they operated so called " boiler rooms " in Central Florida. The federal case began in Orlando when police raided a telemarketing operation on Magnolia Avenue officials said.

A point I would like to make is that anyone who has been scammed should file a complaint with the Attorney General in the state where they live and the state where the scammers claim to be working in. Authorities are cracking down but we need victims to come forward.
