Marriot buying STARWOOD????

How does that effect either Marriott or Starwood owners of weeks? Can we now request Starwood resort e.g. hyatt, etc. How will our Starwood points be transferred over, ratios etc??????

Marriott is buying Starwood hotel division. Starwood already divided out their vacation resort club (timeshare) and then sold it to ILG Interval Leisure Group, the parent company of Interval International exchanges. ILG also owns Hyatt vacation club.At this point in time none of the groups have revealed any plans to merge the newly acquired brands into existing brands but may do so in the future. Hyatt vacation owners have not reported any significant changes since ILG took over almost 2 years ago.
