Owning both Wyndham Club Access and Wyndham Plus Club at a home resort

I have a question. If you bought a timeshare with points deeded at a "home resort" in the Wyndham Club Plus program and then purchased Club Access Points resale with both having the same use year restart date would you be able to book reservations with a "pool" of both timeshares points? And can you book using the 13 mo window for all Club Access Resorts and combine both timeshares points to book?

They would be separate. You can book at 13 months only with your CWA points. If your home resort is in CWA and you want to book all your points there you would still have to make 2 separate consecutive reservations. One up to the number of CWA points you have and the other with your plus club points. They only become a single pool at 10 months prior to check in.

So once you're at the 10 month window you can combine points to reserve with the pool of both timeshares?

Yes, At 10 months they combine to book anything systemwide that you are eligible to book. Margaritaville has some restrictions based on VIP status and Presidential Reserve have a percentage reserved for PR owners.

If I have Wyndham Club Access points but want to purchase at a home deeded property,would they combine those points to bump me up a level into silver status? Or would I need to purchase more WCA points for them to combine and step up a level? Thanks

do you have both actually? Is it worth it? It’s frustrating when you’re trying to sort out a booking and nothing seems to line up the way it should. Timeshare systems always look simple on paper but end up confusing once you’re actually trying to use your weeks. In the middle of sorting out my own reservation last month I had to call Club Wyndham customer service, and even then it took a while to get straight answers. Hopefully yours is just a paperwork delay. Keep following up — persistence usually pays off.

I strongly recommend never buying a timeshare from any company based on my regrettable experience with Club Wyndham. From my perspective, the company is far more focused on making the sale than on ensuring the product is truly a good fit for the customer's financial situation, travel habits, or long-term needs. The level of service and attention provided during the sales presentation seems to disappear once the contract is signed. As an owner, I expected management to stand behind their commitments and respond when issues arose. Instead, I was left chasing answers with no resolution and no follow-up. My biggest piece of advice to anyone considering a timeshare is this: if you really want one, do not buy it directly from the company. Research the resale market first. I was shocked to learn that timeshares that sell for over $100,000 from the company, only resell for $3,000. That enormous loss in value was never adequately explained during the sales process. Had I understood the reality of the resale value before buying, I would have made a very different decision. Before purchasing a Club Wyndham timeshare, or any timeshare, carefully research the long-term costs, maintenance fees, reservation limitations, low resale values, and customer service experiences of current owners. Based on my experience, buying this timeshare is a decision I deeply regret and would not recommend to anyone.
