have a deeded week (week 5) in NC. My husband and I are interested in switching if for a week the kids are not in school (somewhere in Va, Nc, or SC). Should I go with an echange from this website, or should I try the "Bank It" deal? If I do that, I have to exchange it for something within the same color zone, right?

RedWeek no longer does exchanges. With which exchange company is your resort affiliated? RCI? II? You could also try Dial-an-Exchange or Trading Places International. Does the timeshare company with which your resort is affiliated (eg. Wyndham, Diamond, Westgate, etc.) have an internal exchange program?

However, since you have a week-5 unit and we are very close to that right now, you will probably have a hard time exchanging it. It is worth a try, though.
