Status "pending final confirmation" seems to take too long to clear

Can someone please help to explain what the delay is once a rental confirmation has been sent in to RedWeek? My properties were rented, Marriott was immediately contacted for the name change on the reservation and the Marriott confirmations were sent in to RedWeek. I called RedWeek and confirmed that the confirmations were submitted properly. At this point, I was told that the confirmation process was being escalated. Yet it has been days and the rentals are still showing as "Pending final confirmation." What is the issue? I am told that a renter can back out any time prior to this confirmation being completed. So I am asking RedWeek to please conduct business with an appropriate sense of urgency. Explanations are appreciated. Thank you.
