Buying points with a different anniversary month

I currently own 4,000 points through MVC with a September anniversary month.

If I purchase points from another owner who has a different anniversary month, is it possible to combine them into my existing anniversary month? For example, if I buy 3,000 points with a January anniversary month, can I consolidate them into 7,000 points with a September anniversary month, instead of having 4,000 points with a September anniversary and 3,000 points with a January anniversary?

Additionally, if I buy points from another owner and reach 7,000 points of ownership as described in the scenario above, would I still qualify for the “Executive” ownership status that corresponds to 7,000 points?
