New Fees NOT very happy about that

We own an equivalent of 14 weeks of timeshare at two different resorts. All RedWeek does is help us offset our dues, however with the cost of posting a rental so high I will not be using RedWeek.com anymore and want others to know about all the excessive fees involved.

$ 49.99 Add 6 months $ 99.00 Success fee $ 50.00 Resort fee ( most resorts charge a guest authorization fee) $ 50.00 eBay or CC processing fee Who is going to pay approximately $250.00 for someone else's vacation. It's no longer financially feasible to rent with RedWeek.com Renters also pay 6% on top of rental price.

People just won't be able to use RedWeek anymore. So sorry...

I totally agree with Robert. Redweek WAS a valuable and reasonable site to rent weeks out by Owners unable to use their weeks at a reasonable fee. Redweek has become too expensive to use with all the additional service fees and taxes. . I will NOT be using to rent my weeks any longer!

wow the fees have become ridiculous and after using redweek for more than 10 years i also will be looking elsewhere

Hi. Where will you be booking/ listing your rentals? I've booked my vacation through redweek for years, and the fees on the renter side are also getting ridiculous. $885 extra in fees and taxes. Do they even pass on the taxes to the 'hotel'?

The fees have become ridiculous and after using Redweek for more than 15 years I also will be looking elsewhere. What a way to ruin a popular website!

We listed our timeshare on Redweek in April. We signed up for the $49.99 plan to rent the timeshare ourselves. We listed the timeshare for $5800, and that was the price showing up on the listing. I happened to check our listing this week and the price is now $6347. Redweek added $547 to our listing price without telling us and they will pocket the $547 if our unit rents. Also, our listing will likely not rent at that higher price, so we'll have to lower our price to offset the Redweek increase. We'll end up losing money and Redweek will still make $547 regardless. We've used Redweek for years, and we WERE very happy. Now Redweek is unethical and getting greedy. This is definitely the last time we use Redweek.

NOT happy with their money grab at all!!! The fees are also making us leave by next year. Just trying to figure out the best place to go - Airbnb, VRBO, Ebay, Vacation Candy or ???? Any of the rest of you have any best places to go instead of RedWeek? We have two listed now but do not want to use RedWeek in the future. Just can't afford to lose money on the rentals with the addition of their new fees! (If we rent with points and then try to rent it out on RedWeek, we are going to lose money on the transaction.)

You are correct and I have the same issue

Red Week become very bad customer service and support

I agree not to continue with Red Week rental program Let them realize that people leaving them

Is this only on the Full Service rentals ?

I agree! I was so surprise when I started to place an ad. Now I must pay $49 for the ad plus $99 when I rent my unit. What happened? I can't afford this. Please change this. We have been customers for many years. Thank you Debbie Wilson

Try Tug.

Good to know. Glad I am reading the Forums! I am new to RW and about to post my unit with RW for the first time

And they also expire the posting 10-days prior to the check-in date, even though I paid for verified listing and the reason they said was to get the listing moved over to the renter's name could take up to 10 days, hogwash if it takes more than 10 hours that's too long.

The fees are definitely building up. While this is a serious consideration, the bigger issue is that my timeshare rental listings are not being rented. I have successfully listed on Redweek for over 15 years. In addition to the fees, they are now increasing the rental listing by about 10%. So my $3000 listing is being posted for $3300. In the last year, 3 of my 4 listings have not rented. I have always been realistic about how much I ask for a rental and have never had a problem. After being a loyal Redweek member, I now have to look for an alternative...

I've been using Redweek for 15 years. These fee increases are a slap in the face to longtime customers. It's greedy. I pay an annual membership fee, then a $59.99 fee to post the listing, then a $99.00 "success fee" (not to me) when it's rented, then the renter pays another 9% on top of what I list it for. And the listing shows my per night rate and then a total that is much higher than the per night rate with no explanation.

Redweek - listen to your customers. We are looking at leaving. You have been a good company to do business with for many years, but you are alienating me and many others with these suddenly imposed huge increase in fees.

Yes but they discontinued all types of rentals EXCEPT full service now! $59 listing fee this year. 5% Collection on what you enter as what you want "price per night." Then, they add approximately a 9.59 - 9.6% service fee on our listing price to the renter that is now listed as the TOTAL PRICE.
