We go down around 9:oo am and there is always palapas available for free and lots of room around the pool. If you REALLY want to be close to the ocean, there is a smal charge through the hotel. We don't see the need. We walk the beach a lot and like the pool and the palapas. You can get out of the sun easier with a palapa.(move the chairs, more room) Tip: Walk down the beach to "The Beach Bar" and drink and eat at half the price of the Marriott. In front of the Playa Linda Resort. The Marriott Surf Club is very bad and yes, crack of dawn, no room, rude people from NYC! (larrym490)

Do you rent the palapas through Marriott? I read that the beach in front of the Ocean Club is a public beach and now there is another palapa vendor. Do they both charge the same price and do you have to get there at the crack of dawn? Is it also a problem getting beach chairs with umbrellas/shade by the pool too? (doloresb53)

Just have one of the staff take you in their van and spend a day down the hill on one of their other sister properties right on the beach...Pueblo Bonito Rose' and Pueblo Bonito Blanca. They are both beautiful places as well that are right next to each other and are literally right on the beach where all the action is! Just minutes away from Sunset. Then come back to your luxurious privately gated home away from home to relax and enjoy all of the amenities that Sunset Beach has to offer unlike any other place in Cabo! You have the best of both worlds there! (micheled377)

There is a wonderful walking or jogging path directly across from Windward Pointe. It goes for several miles. All concrete and level. All are directly on the Atlantic and totally unobstructed views. The best beach in the area is about 1/4 to1/2 mile away. Currently, there is some road construction at the beach area but ample parking across the street from the beach or a pleasant walk from Windward Pointe. (stephenl411)

We were at LaCabana Dec 2019 and we had direct access to beach since road upgrade completed. There is a new bike and pedestrian lane along the beach that we enjoyed walking every morning & evening toward Costa Linda resort. There is a new bypass to the airport that diverts traffic away from beach road too so there was LESS traffic by LaCabana & Amsterdam Manor Hotel than last two years. We heard good news about plans to expand AIRPORT with additional runway & terminal by 2030 too. (elizabethd433)

Phuket Beach Club property is directly on the beach. We have visited 75% of the Vacation Club properties and this is by far our favorite. It is wonderful and is on an 11 kilometer beach with almost no properties on it. Truly a gem on the Andaman Sea. (jeffn259)

Resort is on the beach but only buildings F, G, and H are directly ocean front. All the other buildings have lagoon/garden view. The beach fronting the resort is not safe for swimming due to strong undertow but occupants of KBV have access to all of the pools in the adjacent hotel. (jeromee15)

There are 3 Restaurants on Property. Shopping and small grocer within walking distance. Sorry no All Inclusive as of 2024. Plenty of local bars and restaurants a short taxi ride from the property. All good and range from Beach front with local musicians - Laid back and lots of fun and with good food and very friendly staff. And of course there are several upscale restaurants close by and within the Marriott St Kitts Beach Club. Spend a day in Nevis - Sister Island - for more of the same. (micheleb577)

No, it is not really a swimmable beach. I did see a guy swimming one time but everyone watching was really concerned he might not be able to reach shore again. The waves are pretty strong most of the time, which is beautiful to watch as they strike the rocks and spray upwards. But not good for swimming. There is a beach however if you just want to sunbathe. The hotel is 5 minutes away from the beach in a cap ride. A 20 minute walk more or less... and there is a shuttle that takes you to the beach everyday, except on Saturday. (niae2)

If you own a deeded week that says "Ocean Front" you are indeed entitled to the Ocean Front suites. Interestingly, your confirmation for 2020 will show "Close to Beach". No idea why. It didn't used to be this way. I'm thinking that Marriott farmed out some work to an overseas firm and in their language reinterpreted Ocean Front as Close to Beach. Marriott really need to fix this as it is very disconcerting. (tophere)
