The Falls at Ogunquit provided my wife and me with a wonderful week-long stay.

We visited over Thanksgiving, primarily to spend time with family in the Boston suburbs just an hour south. But we also wanted to do some off-season exploring along the southern Maine coast—and The Falls at Ogunquit did not disappoint.

One of the highlights was stepping right out our door for a short stroll past charming seaside cottages and stately homes down to beautiful Footbridge Beach. The water was cold, of course—as Maine waters always are, especially to Southerners—but the magnificent views and peaceful shoreline walks elevated and cheered our souls.

From there, a quick drive took us to Ogunquit's famed Marginal Way cliff walk. We also ventured down to York Harbor for a delicious lunch with breathtaking coastal views at the Stage Neck Inn, and over to Kennebunkport to walk the serene grounds of the Franciscan Monastery and admire its historic collection of religious statuary. While in Kennebunkport, we continued out to Walker's Point, drinking in the ocean views and catching a glimpse of the Bush family estate.

Thanksgiving in the off-season was a delightful time to visit: the summer crowds had thinned, allowing us to enjoy our walks at a relaxing pace, while early holiday lights and Christmas decorations added a festive cheer. After our daily adventures, we loved coming back to enjoy a swim in the heated pool, relax by the cozy gas fireplace, and unwind in our in-room Jacuzzi—the most spacious hot tub we’ve ever experienced at a resort!

While a summer trip would certainly be wonderful, our late-fall excursion was an absolute treat. I highly recommend The Falls at Ogunquit.

Excellent location in the heart of the Ogunquit, Maine coastal town. Many wonderful restaurants within walking distance. Resort provides free shuttle service to nearby beaches. Comfortable units with well equipped partial kitchens. All units have a private bedroom with a queen sleep sofa in the living area.

The Falls is centrally located near all the best beaches , trolly access to the Village of Ogunquit, restaurants and Summer vibe. If you are looking for a Summer beach getaway this is it. Accommodations are on par with a 5 star resort, onsite parking, indoor heated pool, next door to a 5 star italian restaurant Angelina's, and right across from Beach Fire Grill, walking distance to Foot Bridge Beach. Onsite staff is friendly and caring. Unit has a kitchenette, soaking jet tub for 2 and a comfy King size bedroom and a pullout queen sleeper sofa. Cable tv is also included or pick from a well stocked DVD library in the Lobby area. A great place to make an annual week stay.

I love the proximity to downtown, beach, shops, and restaurants! The Falls is close to Footbridge Beach and our suite has a view of the ocean. Its my favorite spot!

The best of Maine! The Falls is a well maintained property with a large indoor pool and outdoor patio. We have been taking our family here for 20 years. It is walking distance to beautiful Footbridge Beach, cafes, restaurants, and shopping. The Ogunquit Playhouse is also close by.
