Love The Galleon. It's a slice of paradise in the heart of Old Town Key West. The views of Sunset are spectacular and the Marina is just beautiful. Duval Street and Mallory Square are just steps away but when you're at the Resort you feel like you're on a private oasis.

The staff is friendly. The units are clean and the bed is as comfortable as you could ask for.

We have stayed previous to owning, and now own at Galleon. The units are beautiful, the furniture and bedding were excellent, the location couldn't be better for Key West. If you're a needy lowlife that cannot pick up after yourself, or expect service like a hotel, just go away. Management is unobtrusive, however if you expect immediate service calls about issues... Yeah, not so much. Otherwise, this is a great resort, a great location, and have many caring and dedicated employees. If you wish to be catered to, go rent a hotel at twice the price.

Been going as owner or renter for last 25 years. During that time substantial improvements made, interiors are fully upgraded (not just updated) with quality furnishings. Fancier than most of our homes, and you cannot beat the location of close to everything yet private in your unit! Once you stay there, a hotel room will never do again...

Reviews are optional and only one person's opinion. I feel the Galleon Resort has one of the best locations in Key West, only 2 blocks off Duval and right in the heart of Historic Key West Bight. Almost all units have been upgraded with new kitchens, baths, tile throughout and furniture. I love the friendly staff and of course..The Sunset Tiki Bar. There is also an observation deck where you can see the entire bight and some of the most beautiful sunsets ever. In my opinion, I look forward to the calm, crazy and everything The Galleon & Key West have to offer at least once a year.

We have been oweners for nearly 20 years and love, love, love The Galleon. It's very nice, but not plush. Just what we want when we go away on vacation. Comfortable just like home. And you cannot beat the location. Within walking distance of all the activity that makes Key West "our little island home"!

WOW!! THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! 5 STAR EVERYTHING!! BEST VACATION EVER... This trip was for a family vacation and the perfect place for our family of 8 including the kids. They enjoyed the pool and beach while the grandparents enjoyed the lounge chairs at the Tiki bar. This condo was everything I had hoped for and more. The Caribbean ocean view was breath taking. The interior decor and furnishings is extremely comfortable and appropriate. There was plenty of room for hanging out including a full kitchen with everything you need and a TV in each bedroom. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms beautifully updated. The entire condo was extremely clean and well maintained. (The pictures don’t do it justice). The place is LIGHT AIRY & SPACIOUS!!!! The updates to the unit are amazing! Brand new furniture, brand new kitchen, brand new appliances!. The new Tiki Bar Grille is a great improvement as well. It's great to see such a special place continue to reinvest in itself to beautify the property and improve upon the creature comforts! The employees at the property were very helpful and courteous. The Galleon is perfectly located to all that Key West has to offer! No need for a car. Spend the day relaxing on the beach and by the pool, steps to the nightly festivities at Mallory Square, several excellent restaurants. Secluded just enough with a short walk to lots of fun on Duvall Street. I would recommend this condo to any friend or relative looking to go to Key West!

We have stayed at The Galleon 3 times in the past 2 years and love it. Of all the places in the world we have been to this is our favorite. At The Galleon you are within walking distance of everything worth seeing in Key West from Mallory Square, The Aquarium, Mel Fishers Museum, Hemmingways Home, the Lighthouse, Zackery Taylor State Park/Fort and Duvall street. We are already booked for our 4th vacation there for July 2nd. Looking forward to another fantastic vacation.

We have been staying at the Galleon for 18 years and now own several weeks. They are constantly updating and refurbishing, new master baths this year, guest baths last year, and kitchens are on tap. Furnishings are tropical and replaced as needed. Our experiences have always been good, the unit has always been clean and confortable, and you cannot beat the location. There is new management at the Tiki Bar and the food is fresh and good. Overall great,

Wow! We loved it. Close to everything. No need to rent a car. Excellent food everywhere. Loved the nightly entertainment in the Sunset Tiki Bar. Beautiful sunsets from our balcony. We were in a 2 bedroom overlooking pool with a water view. Unit is very big and roomy. Bingo by the pool.......and we won. Can't wait to go again.

This was the best vacation! No need to get in your car, you are always right in the midst of everything. Just open up the balcony doors and you have fresh air and beautiful views of boats, water, and the pool-did I mention that you can walk to everything? We drove 27 hours to get here and it was worth every minute. We just walked over to the wharf and had dinner and drinks when we arrived at 9:30 p.m. This was so much more relaxing knowing that we did not need to drive every night to eat, shop, or have fun. The views from the balcony and the rooftop are breathtaking. The beach area is great for a refreshing (and yes cold) swim and to snorkle and dive off the platform. We all enjoyed playing (and winning) bingo-even my 25 year old daughter! The front desk was also great. Back at work and trying to plan my next vacation here again.

I can't wait to get back to the Galleon and Key West. I've stayed there a handful of times in the last five years and I understand the reasons people don't want to give up their week(s) at the resort. The location alone justifies giving it five stars, with gorgeous gulf views just steps from the historic seaport and blocks from Mallory Square and Duval Street. The perfect location - you're moments from the action, yet you have a quiet and tranquil retreat.

A few words about the resort: I gave the resort five stars for overall experience. It's not a five-star resort. I have stayed in many four- and five-diamond AAA-rated resorts, including Ritz-Carltons, so I have fairly high standards. That said, there's nothing lacking in the Galleon. The room furnishings, though dated, are comfortable enough (though I'd love to see new sofas in the living area), and I've always found them clean. And the 2-BR condos offer plenty of space. I've never been disappointed at the Galleon.

I've always found the lunch buffet adequate, as well. Depending on the day, hot dogs & burgers or BBQ chicken, baked beans, chips seem the standard offering. Nothing gourmet, but well worth a few bucks when you're satisfied spending the day lounging pool- or gulf-side.

I thought the place was old and nasty. I was told one thing and then untold, the lunch with the gang was terrible, 4 shrimp, dried out and rubbery, that was it, just 4 little shrimp for $6, I stated, I was still hungry and no one cared, the manager was not available. This place is way overpriced. I was disappointed the angle of the building and not a good view of the sunset unless you went to the roof. The room was nothing special and the TV's were old and little. The location was nice and I paid dearly for that. I will look elsewhere. Anyone want to buy my timeshare?

Just returned from this great resort. We were

there Dec. 16 thru Dec 23rd. Had a great time.

The resort was right in the middle of town.

You would never have to drive. We were

there for the lighted boat parade on the

marina where all the boats were decorated

in Christmas lights. A very nice place. Would

love to stay here again sometime.
