We recently returned from an interesting week's visit to the Fairfield Nashville (TN) Resort.. we had a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom, full kitchen unit with a comfortable porch.. although the unit had more than the usual amount of irritating minor problems the maintenance and housekeeping departments responded promptly and cheerfully.. the resort has an indoor pool, health-club, 2-outdoor pools, internet access.. many activities and tours are available for a modest fee..

Our day trips included a visit to the Hermitage, Andrew Jackson's plantation, a tour of the Vanderbilt University campus, the OpryLand Hotel (with an indoor river under a towering domed roof) and shopping at Oprey Mills and the Tennessee Fairgrounds flee market.. an evening show at the Texas Troubadour Theatre (TTT) paid a Tribute To The King (EP).. on Sunday morning we attended a service at the Cowboy Church held in the TTT where the pastor's wife is the late Johnny Cash's youngest sister.. Nashville has a lot of interesting civil war sites and plantations, art galleries and antique shops that we have reserved for future trips as the city is a convenient 9 hour drive from Chicago..

Traded my 2 bdrm here and got a 1 bdrm. Was attending a conference so it worked out okay...but don't think I really got a fair deal. The unit had to be a lockout off a two bedroom. For the two of us it worked considering we were there only for a few days....but the unit was really small. They invited us to do a survey and offered to refund half our exchange fee...but when my husband got there they told him they couldn't refund without the both of us. I was at the conference and could not make arrangements. Dont think they were very fair since my husband ended up giving them a considerable amount of his time. Overall the complex was nice and the two bedrooms looked very nice from the outside...but not really sure what there was to do around the complex.

This was the first time I stayed at a Fairfield property...timeshare wise. I have to say it was a very pleasant experience. The units are tastefully decorated. The only drawback is that the kitchens are rather small and cramped if several people are trying to cook etc...The resort is in VERY close proximity to the Opryland Hotel which in itself is at least an afternoon of sight seeing. The staff was friendly and helpful for ideas of places to go and thinsg to see. Lots of historical places a person can visit if so inclined as well as enjoying the antebellum homes. Not much to do at the resort itself unless you like to swim, but there is plenty around town to keep you busy.

This was my first time share exchange and I loved it! The resort had 2 outdoor pools and 1 indoor one. They had a work-out room and a tanning room and lots of on-site activities. The staff was friendly and didn't really push with a sales pitch like I've heard some timeshares like to do while you're there. They are very close to many of the activities in Nashville. I loved it!
