Portes du Soleil is located in the heart of the Swiss Alps close to the French border at an altitude of 1600 m, in the Valais. Situated midway between Geneva, Lausanne, Bern and Zurich, you will enjoy the magnificent view of the 'Dents du Midi' summits. This year round resort is an excellent base for exploring magnificent countryside, beautiful villages and walking in lush alpine meadows. Decorated in a warm and cosy typical alpine wooden 'chalet' style, its facilities and services will make your stay a very enjoyable memory. Optional Half Board meal plans are available, and cost approximately 300 Swiss Francs per adult per week.
The village of Champoussin nestles on a mountainside, at a height of 1600m, between Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva in one of the most beautiful mountain areas of the world. Here twelve Swiss and French ski centres together, offer over 700kms of prepared pistes, 300kms of marked walking trails and 230 ski lifts, all on one lift pass. The resort has apartments grouped around a hotel. The nearest shops are located 10km away. The resort organises excursions into the country in the summer season.
Please note that there is a utility charge at this resort of 25 Swiss Francs (approx. £12) per person (over age 12) per week. There is also a daily tourist tax payable - Sfr.1.80 per person per day, no fee for children under the age of 6.
Unfortunately the swimming pool is not open in the summer months.
