The Westin Lagunamar in Cancun Mexico is the perfect resort. The setup for the 2 bedroom lockoff works really well for a group. It’s essentially two separate villas with a shared entry. One side has a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and a spacious living and dining area. The other has a smaller kitchenette. Both sides have their own balconies, bathrooms, and king beds, plus sleeper sofas, so it is ideal for traveling with extended family or teens who want their own space.

The resort itself is gorgeous and incredibly well maintained. The pools are huge and beautifully laid out, and the beach is just steps away with soft white sand and clear blue water. The service from the poolside staff was excellent. The convenience of the on-site market and restaurants made it easy to relax and stay put.

One of the biggest perks is the location. It's right in the heart of the Hotel Zone. You’re across the street from a shopping mall with restaurants and stores, and just a short walk or drive from all kinds of activities, tours, nightlife, and local attractions. It’s easy to explore without needing a car.

The Westin staff were warm and helpful from check-in to daily housekeeping. We felt safe and comfortable the whole time. It’s definitely a family-friendly resort, but also relaxing enough for couples or friends.The option to cook some meals in your unit is a huge value.

Overall, the 2 bedroom lock off is a great choice if you're traveling with a group or want more privacy and flexibility.

This resort is a dream! Our villa was spacious, clean, and fully equipped—with stunning ocean views right from the balcony. The pools are incredible (don’t miss the infinity pool!), and the beach access is unbeatable.

Staff were warm and helpful, restaurants were great, and the location puts you close to shopping, nightlife, and excursions. A perfect mix of luxury, comfort, and Caribbean beauty. Highly recommend!

We have visited Westin Lagunamar two times a year for the past ten years. We love the great location convenient to shopping, restaurants, groceries and night life. The staff is amazing! The rooms are well designed and furnished. The "heavenly beds" are heavenly. We are always well rested when we return home. We have the opportunity to visit other resorts, but we keep coming back here every year.

Great hotel with spectacular beach, 2 pools, separate hot tubs and baby pools. 3 restaurants, bar-b-ques and full service Spa and gym. Large comfortable rooms. Very helpful concierge staff.

Beachfront Bliss at Westin Lagunamar We absolutely love the Westin Lagunamar! We've been vacationing here 1–2 times a year for the past 12 years, and it truly feels like our home away from home. The beach in front of the resort is stunning—soft white sand that stays cool underfoot and perfect for long walks. Many villas offer gorgeous views and the soothing sound of the ocean waves—you’ll feel like you're just steps from the shore. Whether you're relaxing on your balcony or lounging by the pool, the beachfront atmosphere is all around you. The infinity pool is a favourite of ours, and the entire resort is impeccably maintained. From the pools to the suites, everything is clean, comfortable, and well cared for. The staff are warm, attentive, and always make us feel welcome. Located right across from La Isla Shopping Village, you’ll find a fantastic variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Plus, all of Cancun’s top dining spots are just a short taxi or Uber ride away. We truly cherish our time at the Westin Lagunamar and know you will too!

Attentive and friendly staff. Excellent maid room service. Ate at Oceans restaurant buffet breakfast and Italian dinner night and food was great. Beach stunning and great location!

We love Westin Lagunamar! It is our home away from home where all staff are very friendly and provide excellent service. Units are always clean and comfortable. The beddings and pillows are so comfortable, and that is why they are called "heavenly." The units are equipped with washer & dryer, and all kitchen amenities including stove, oven, fridge, microwave, etc. There are barbecue grills in the resort that are clean. The water in the resort is safe to drink and cook with because it is filtered! So, no need to buy bottled water. The view is magnificent, especially when looking at the infinity pool and ocean. Just across the street is a very nice, safe and clean shopping mall with many restaurants and nice shops. Taking the bus downtown and uptown is so inexpensive, convenient and safe. We just love coming back to this resort year after year!

The Westin Lagunamar if one of my favorite villas to visit. I love the infinity pool with the swim up bar and every villa has a view of the ocean. Also, there is shopping and dining right across the street.

We've been coming here for 6 years. Wonderful resort. Located across from Luxury Mall. Easy transportation to and from airport. Marriott quality resort.

Just came back from two weeks here, A+ vacation. Excellent location, 20 mins from airport, across the street from mall and close to groceries. Every room is great - oceanview is my preference because oceanside gets quite windy right off the ocean. But you really can't lose. Requesting a room in buildings 9-14 situates you around the quieter pool, which was ideal for us. We'll definitely be back!

Amazing resort. We have stayed at other nice places in Cancun but this by far blew us away with amazing restaurants nearby.

I have stayed at the Westin Lagunamar every Sept/Oct for the past 15 year except 2020. Love the resort, employees are very friendly and helpful, the resort is so convenient to shopping and great restaurants. We have never felt unsafe. Unable to go this year so someone else has any opportunity to enjoy.

Great location in Cancun about nine miles from the airport. Very nice amenities that one would expect at a Westin Resort.

We have been an owner since the resort was first built. Fabulous location in Cancun right on the beach and across from the La Isla outdoor mall with upscale shopping, restaurants, activities. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. Accommodations are impeccable. Fabulous pools and onsite dining. Lots to do onsite or within easy walking or taxi distance. Great for a romantic getaway or a vacation with the kids.
