    I booked a week at this resort from an owner. When I arrived I had to pay an upgrade fee of $900+ If I wanted to look at anything except the pool. I spoke to other guests there who didn’t have to pay that fee. I will never go back to this resort again.

    Perfect location with easy 15 min walk into town but away from the crowded area. My only complaint (been going since 2011) used to be the pushy timeshare sales. However, they got new management and new rules and that is no problem at all now. Really magnificent place and wonderful staff.

It's my understanding the AI is $105-110/day. Everyone staying in the unit must participate, and the minimum purchase is for 3 consecutive days. There are exclusions for high-end liquors, wines, and food.

Villa la Estancia is not accessible for guests of Palmar and Arco. Whether staying at Palmar or Arco, you must stay on that property for pools etc. However, you can go to restaurants at either resort. Palmar has a buffet with a live show every night...highly recommend any and all of the shows and the buffet changes each night. Other favourite restaurants for me were Carbon (Palmar) where you get a hibachi with all the veggies and meat for two people on your table; Neptune (Arco) absolutely awesome seafood; Tomatillos - Farm to Table (Palmar) and the breakfast buffets are excellent.

The beach if very nice. Warm water like Cancun, but without the seaweed! There is a roped off area for swimmers keeps the boats and Kayaks out. Crystal clear water. Can see fish swimming near the shoreline. Free for guests to use their kayaks and paddle boards with an attendant that helps you launch....I usually give him a couple of dollars tip per user. Regarding the all inclusive....I have never used this. Plenty of restauraunts on the resort and walkable places on the beach or 20 minute walk to the marina area. Or pick up groceries from nearby Walmart/Costco (walkable) and cook in your full kitchen, which each unit had. 1 bedroom and larger has a full size refrigerator and all kitchen with all utensils and cooking items needed.
