I’ve found Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Water Park to be a great option for families and couples who want space, comfort, and easy access to Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains.

What really stands out is the size and layout of the units. The cabins are spacious, well-designed, and much more comfortable than a standard hotel room. Having a full kitchen, separate living area, fireplace, and balcony makes a big difference—especially for families staying a full week.

The indoor water park (Wild Bear Falls) is a major highlight, particularly for kids and during cooler months. It adds a lot of value to the stay and is one of the reasons this resort is so popular during Spring Break and holidays. The resort also offers multiple pools, on-site dining options, a market, and scheduled activities, so you don’t have to leave the property every day.

Location-wise, the resort is close to downtown Gatlinburg and the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It’s a short drive to restaurants, attractions, and hiking, but still feels tucked away in the mountains. The views from many units are beautiful, especially in spring and fall.

What a terrific location and great amenities. We have stayed here multiple times and love the opportunity to be able to "stay in" if we don't want to venture away from the resort. We were close to everything in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg; not to mention the National Park.

Resort has the best views in the Smoky Mountains. Includes numerous amenities including Water Park, heated swimming pools, Putt-Putt, Grilles, Fire Pitt, Restaurant and convenience store.

Beautiful views of the mountains and overlooking down town Gatlinburg! You can use the tons of amenities on the resort property, go into Gatlinburg for amazing food and sights, or take a short trip into the mountains for hiking or drives to see nature.

Amazing Views of the Smokey Mountains and Gatlinburg. The kids really enjoyed the indoor waterpark and pools. The whole family played Mini Golf and had a great time sitting by the fire pits at night. There is a Trolley stop at the resort which takes you to downtown Gatlinburg for free and for a minimal price to Pigeon Forge.

We started out with Westgate timeshares in 1992 with their very first original timeshare units in Kissimmee FL. After many years we traded in that one for the current one in Gatlinburg and have never looked back!

Westgate Smokey Mountain is their premier timeshare located at the foothills of the Great Smokey Mtn Natl Park, the most traveled National Park in America. Explore the many beautiful trails in the Smokey Mts during the day. Nighttime in downtown Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge will not disappoint.

For families, on the timeshare property is the largest water park in the area. Leaving the property isn't necessary to enjoy your vacation stay. The restaurant offers many choices for all ages. The mini-mart on site carries anything you may need or have forgotten while there. Free shuttle service to/from Gatlinburg from the resort.

Don't be surprised to see a black bear off in the distance in the mountains!

My family and I have been going to this resort for 20 years. We absolutely love it! It’s very family friendly. Price also includes up to 6 waterpark passes for the week! You will be assigned your own concierge for the week. They have always been helpful. The views on property are amazing! They restaurant there serves delicious food, and the cafe is good too. It’s a wonderful vacation destination .

The resort is a great place to vacation with family and friends. A lot of amenities and attractions are located very close and on site. Water park available for an extra fee. Mini golf on site.

I have owned this timeshare since 2014. Have had great experience with staff and location. Like close proximity to Gatlinburg, Dollywood, Asheville, Knoxville. Roomy and cozy.

Westgate Smokey Mountain Resort & Water Park is a great place to relax and to get away from it all. It is an inviting place to decompress if just traveling with your other or for the adventurous, the nearby Smokey Mountains National Park welcome you to explore. For the kids, there is the Water Park to enjoy or splash in the heated pools. Come and enjoy the on-site restaurant, the spa and other amenities,.

We love that they have a free shuttle to take us down the mountain and there is a stop at the bottom for the free Gatlinburg shuttle. Parking pass for the National Park is quite close. The accommodations are comfortable and love the rocker on the balcony. The views are amazing!

Excellent customer service, easy to navigate, amenities are great. Close to Glatingburg downtown. Awesome view of the mountains. The resort offers activities every day for kids and family activities. Options to change your weeks to other resorts in USA .

Overall, the resort, staff, location and amenities are great. The water park is great for children and adults alike. Anything that you need can be requested from the front desk, and will be delivered in a timely manner. Two problems at the resort are parking and the lack of soundproofing. We love owning at the resort and always enjoy our time there.

Westgate Gatlinburg Tennessee is by far the best family vacation you will ever take. We came with the kids in March and loved it so much that the hubby and I are already back for our anniversary 3 months later. We are from Florida but now consider this our new home away from home. These memories will surely last a lifetime. Thank you Westgate for the amazing service and such a beautiful time.
