Stay away from a "deal" like this. You are right that you have to wait until someone buys your timeshare. They tell you that, after you pay $3000, you will be immediately relieved of your timeshare and its obligations. But, in reality, you have to wait until a willing party buys it or accepts it for free if you're willing to part with it for nothing.
