General condition of the resort

I have a week scheduled at the Alii Kai, just wondering what the resort is like. We also have a week at The Point at Poipu, wondering which one is better? Would apprreciate any feedback that you could give me. We need to cancel one and not sure which is a better resort.

We haven't gone yet, not till Jan.2. I cancelled the Alii Kai. We have stayed before at the Point at Poipu, which is a beautiful resort. Since it's going to be winter thought it might be sunnier in the poipu area.

Ok, thanks. We are leaving on Jan 2. We booked through VRI. Is that who use also?

I don't know what VRI is, we booked through Diamond resorts, we own at the Kaanapali Beach Club in Maui. We willl be the week before Kauai. Diamond Resorts must own part of the Alii Kai, so we can book there. Maybe we will try it some other time. Let me know how your stay was. Thanks
