Sands of Indian Wells

great location in mid-valley but very disappointing facility.

Have stayed here twice, both times in the one-BR, and will likely stay here again. Pro: Fantastic location in Indian Wells, very nice responsive and helpful front desk folks who remember your name. Clean and updated appliances, cabinets, etc. Nice pool, generally quiet area (but popular with families, so can get noisy from kids). Con: No fitness room. Could use better soundproofing. If you are on the first floor, you may hear people walking above you, but otherwise fairly quiet. Fairly bland decor. Some units only have shower, no tub, and patios don't look out onto anything but parking lots.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at the resort. Decent, clean, SMALL. Not anything to write home about but served its purpose. The pools were clean and the atmosphere was pleasant not loud or people hanging out - it is a decent resort. Limited amenities: no gym, location ok. I mean restaurants and night life just a mile or so away. I would stay again only if nothing else is available.

The sands is more like a hotel than a resort. Room had a small kithen and not many frills. Small patio in back but only an empty lot to look at next door. This resort like a homestead sweuts hotel.

Location,location , Location Close to everthing good in the desert. One mile from the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens Pacific Life Open and within three or four miles of Bob Hope Golf Tournament Courses. Available during peak season in the desert.
