The WorldMark Kona Resort is centrally located on Alii Drive, just across the street from the ocean and a short walk to downtown Kona. The resort's one- and two-bedroom timeshare accommodations are a perfect home away from home without the tourist hype. One-bedroom units offer a king bed in the bedroom, and a queen-size Murphy bed in the living area. Two-bedroom units offer a king bed in the master bedroom, two twin beds in the guest bedroom, and a queen-size Murphy bed in the living area. All units are complete with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, air conditioning, private lanai, and high-speed Internet access for a fee.
Enjoy the resort's outdoor swimming pool, spa, and children's pool. There is also a central barbecue area for a night of cooking under the stars.
While in Kona, be sure to explore the downtown area. The grounds where the great King Kamehameha spent his last days are adjacent to the Hotel King Kamehameha. There are free guided tours of the compound, which is now a national historic landmark. Alii Drive is the main route through Kailua and is home to many hotels, shops, boutiques, and treasured historic sites.
Prior to purchasing timeshare points, make sure you fully understand what your points can be used for. WorldMark's own Web site (www.worldmarktheclub.com) posts current point values for various units and seasons at this resort.

looks more like an apartment building, and is ran more like one too. property not kept up very well. elevator was filthy. would not stay again..also people in the pool in the evening that were not staying in the timeshare, go figure.

My husband and I stayed here for our wedding and honeymoon last year and just loved it. Our one bedroom unit was clean, quiet and very comfortable, and decorated in traditional island style. It was just what we needed for our two week getaway on the Big Island.
The location was perfect; centrally located just across the street from the ocean and a short walk from downtown and sandy beaches.
If you're looking for a "home away from home" without all the tourist hype, this is your place.

Very poor location. Houses next door look like garbage dump.

This is not a resort. It is a good base from which to travel the area. A car is a necessicity as it is 4-5 miles to the nearest stores, restaurants. Furnishings are adequate though there is no TV in the 2nd bedroom of the 2-bedroom units. Friendly and very helpful staff and their orientation is done very well with emphasis on area attractions and not sale of timeshares. The early bird specials and happy hour at the Royal Kona Hotel, about 3-4 miles away, are not to be missed. The best value for a reasonable price to be found in that area and most scenic eating area.
