great location nice units feels like a great resort

Owners must be posting reviews for themselves to see so many positive ones. We take several nice trips a year and this place, other than location, was terrible. I have reviews on tripadvisor and I DO NOT have anything as bad as this one. I am generally easygoing but expect to get what I paid for. The mattresses were so thin and old in every bed, you ached every morning ( and we are NOT big people). The unit is dated and cramped with a poor layout. Food at the grill was horrible, undercooked and poisonous tasting. Management ineffective, after I had expressed my concerns. Only rent if you get a deal- and I did- since it was last minute. Negotiate with the owners here, as I did. Management will not work with you when you rent directly through Redweek.

Loved it! Great location, leave the car parked. Everything you could ever want is walking distance. Our 20 something kids enjoy it here as much as we do! The Galleon resort has everything you could ask for and makes a great vacation.

We have stayed at The Galleon 3 times in the past 2 years and love it. Of all the places in the world we have been to this is our favorite. At The Galleon you are within walking distance of everything worth seeing in Key West from Mallory Square, The Aquarium, Mel Fishers Museum, Hemmingways Home, the Lighthouse, Zackery Taylor State Park/Fort and Duvall street. We are already booked for our 4th vacation there for July 2nd. Looking forward to another fantastic vacation.
