Vintage Landing Timeshare Condominiums

5/19/06 This unassuming resort of 44 units, located at the end of a scenic cove, features spacious rooms with entry at the second level in the four three story buildings.

Studios don’t overlook the water, but they are large (14 x 14) with a queen bed, table and two chairs, TV, furnished kitchenette (mini- fridge, microwave, sink, burners, etc.) plus a full bath. A connecting door easily accesses the deluxe side. That area is huge (16 x 31) and includes a full kitchen, full-sized washer & dryer, a pantry, a table with six chairs, two sofas (one a queen sleeper) an entertainment center with TV and DVD player and sliding doors to the 9 x 16 porch with its table and four chairs. The master bedroom is enormous at 14 x 24 and features a king sized bed, a lighted ceiling fan, an entertainment center with drawers, two night stands, and a lighted window seat overlooking the cove, and a door to the porch. One side of the room holds an oversized Jacuzzi and a vanity. Beyond that is the full bath with another vanity, the commode, and a slightly-small shower. Ample towels and kitchen supplies were furnished. It took us a day to figure out all the light switches, but we were well pleased with these accommodations. We were told that every year one building is refurbished.

Vintage Landing amenities are limited: a small playground, an outdoor pool up the adjacent hill, several barbeque grills, and a fishing hut. Guests are issued temporary passes to use most facilities at The Lodge of the Four Seasons (one entrance away), including its Bath & Tennis Club about 2 miles away. That area has an outdoor heated pool and two tennis courts. New bike paths were nearby.

The area was easy to navigate since the main road (Hwy 54) is 5 lanes wide, and there is a variety of things to do and restaurants for every taste. We will return.
