We bought this unit site unseen and was glad we did. It is in a great location if you like quiet. You definitely need a car for the area. we visited from May13-May20 2006

We arrived a little early on our check-in day only to find out that the earliest we could check in was 3:30pm. They would take no early check-ins.

The front desk was very pleasant and helpful and was able to recommend several restaurants in the area. She also was very knowledgable about the area.

The unit was spacious and clean with 2 BR and 2 baths. We had a corner unit so we had a wrap around patio and front balcony also, which was great for breakfast and/or lounging.

We used the pool most days in the afternoon and found it to be quiet and clean.

The beach is across the street, about 400' away. It's a public beach, but we were the only ones there most of the time. There were not alot of waves which makes it good for kids. The resort supplied umbrellas and chairs, along with sand toys for the kids, which made it very convenient.

The resort also has a supply of bikes, which we did not use, but they all looked like they were in good shape.

The only drawback is the lack of internet access; they have none. You could use the telephone line with your own laptop, but that was the extent of it.

I can't wait to go back

Nice resort. The condo itself was excellent. The side-by-side fridge was nice for water and ice. Loved the washer and dryers too. The condo was so spacious and clean. We had a blast riding bikes even though this wasn't something we expected would be a highlight of the trip. They are regularly checked too. Having use of beach chairs and umbrellas was nice to have available. First time I went to a resort and 4 people can shower and NOT run out of hot water.

We liked how there are only 14 units which makes for a quiet stay. We never heard any noise, walking or otherwise. This place is built to last. Everyone working there was nice and helpful.

Lots to do all up and down the keys and Sarasota. We loved the area. The beach access was just across the street. Longboat Key is re- nourishing the beach so that should be a plus for the area also.

With 4 children, we always look for full facility accomodation-a Marriott is the preference; here, there was MORE than enough room, space to entertain nearby relatives, and enough activity to satisfy our pre-teen & teenage kids-the paddleboats, tennis & basketball provided exercise, and attempting to get as close as possible to egrets without disturbing them became a favorite pastime. They even spent a quiet afternoon fishing with the help of staff. All that togetherness, yet with our own space! It was ideal. We'd go again.

The units are fantastic!! Very roomy and comfortable. We were able to have family dinners with our relatives who were also vacationing on Long Boat.

We enjoyed the manatees. Wonderful restaurants nearby and the beach is beautiful.

10/01/04-added: Had to add this info since the 2004 hurricane season in nearing its end. These unit appear to be built in code of the S Fl codes after Andrew caused their upgrading. Unfortunately, counties furthur N did not feel it important to change their building code, but who ever built these units seemed to care. Full concrete & steel. On pilings- appear to be just under 20 feetabove ground level....(where you park.) I don't remember shutters, but I would lay odds they are stored somewhere in the garage area storage bins. This info is important to help determine future assessments and insurance charges due to wind damage. I think this bldg will help keep the ins charges & maintance lower than other T/S not built on pilings. JMO.

Excellent 2 bed 2 bath oversized apts originally built as full time condo use. Marriott has passed management to Cunninghan- a good move, since they provive excellent service for smaller T/S developments. Walk to golf, Publix (supermarket) Church or Temple. Beach across street. Each unit has a boat dock. Well kept up, excellent building (Parking under building as it is built on pilings). Resident Manatees may present a show from your patio (Lanai). All kitchen windows have view of the Golf of Mexico..........................
