California's Napa Valley is the world's most densely concentrated wine region - a mecca for devotees of fine wines and gourmet cuisine. RiverPointe Napa Valley offers convenient access to all of the valley's attractions, including the Napa Valley Wine Train; the new American Center for Wine, Food and the Arts; Yountville's antique shops; St. Helena's art galleries; and Calistoga's mineral baths. The resort provides modern modular units in a California Vacation Cottage style, plus a large clubhouse, swimming pool, fitness center, and other recreational facilities amidst garden-like grounds beside the picturesque Napa River.
Six Flags Marine World is located just 13 miles south in Vallejo.

Location, location, location! I've been an owner at this resort for over ten years, purchasing it when it was under construction. The units ARE technically trailers because the location along the Napa river flood zone means that they couldn't get a permit to build permanent units. What that means is that there are not a lot of choices for staying in the town of Napa. My friends and I are really impressed with the design of the units and the gardening of the grounds. It is both comfortable and attractive. The pool and hot tub are nice, the gas grills posted conveniently around the property make it easy to enjoy the bounty of this very food-focused region at your own convenience, and the beds are comfortable. But most important of all, this is a wonderful home base for visiting Napa and Sonoma's wineries. The town of Napa has improved dramatically over the years, now boasting wonderful restaurants and shops as well as two major attractions: COPA The Center for Wine, Food and the Arts, and the brand new Oxbow Public Market which opened in January '08. This market was founded by a project manager of the San Francisco Ferry Building Marketplace and promises to offer the same level of quality food and shopping.
Bottom line, if you are looking for something less expensive in Sonoma/Napa where you will still have a good night's sleep and a clean and comfortable visit in a beautiful setting, stay at Riverpointe and spend your money instead on wine and food.

Not luxury but very comfortable. Where else can you stay in Napa Valley for a reasonable price and be so close to the finest wineries and restaurants in the world. I have been there three times and will return next year.

I enjoyed this resort with one exception. They had 2 parties (weddings?) booked the week I was there and the loud music was very irritating. Other than that, it was very relaxing, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location ideal for visiting the wine country and historic downtown Napa.

This resort looks more like a trailer park, each unit is a separate trailer. The accomidations are nicely furnished and great for 2 people, 4 people would be very crowded. The kitchen has no stove but there are numerous barbeques available. This isn't a resort with activities but if all you need is a place to stay while visiting the wineries enjoy.
