This might just be my favorite timeshare resort anywhere. I can't think of any place I'd rather spend a week.
Location, facilities, and amenities are first class. The entire staff is absolutely wonderful -- friendly and helpful.
We've been back five times since the original review. Can't think of anything that would make me change it.
I have to comment on our November 2011 visit. We own a 2BR unit for Week 47, normally Thanksgiving week. In 2011, Week 47 was Thanksgiving week on every timeshare calendar except Quarter House's. So, we show up a week early and having just driven 1,100 miles, were faced with the prospect of turning around and going home. No worries! Quarter House had a 2BR lockoff available and simply did a switch for us! It was my mistake but QH turned it into gold!

We stayed at the Quarter House Resort for the first time from March 19, 2011 until March 26, 2011. The Quarter House is in the heart of the French Quarter and is convenient to anything you would like to do in the French Quarter. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, museums and all within walking distance. We hired a taxi from the airport and did not have any interest in renting a car. It was not needed.
The unit we stayed in was the 'A' side of a two (2) bedroom lock-off. It was very spacious for the two of us. It was over 800 square feet, a bedroom with comfortable king size bed and private full bath with jacuzzi tub and hair dryer in the bathroom. The unit had a total of two (2) full bathrooms and a washer and dryer in the second bathroom. The living room, dinning room and kitchen were all in one area which was comfortable. There was a sofa sleeper, a TV with DVD and VHS player, a receiver that played music throughout the unit with separate controls in every room. This was a nice feature. The unit also had a balcony on Chartres Street which was large enough for many people. There was a sign that said, LIMIT OF 4, but we invited our neighbors from unit 'B' over to watch the St. Joseph's parade on Saturday night. I have to say, this was awesome to watch a New Orleans parade from a balcony in the French Quarter. We all got lots of beads.
The unit was clean, nice and modern with a feel of old charm because of the exposed brick walls and old windows. I was advised that the unit would be getting granite countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms as well as flat panel TV's but they were in great condition. It appears the resort stays on top of renovation with gradual and steady renovations instead of massive overhauls.
Resort sponsored activities: The resort has a FREE continental breakfast with mimosa's and a person playing the piano on Sunday morning. This was followed-up with a walking tour of the French Quarter by a local tour guide. They offer a Monday afternoon cooking class for $5.00 per person with samples of the food made to enjoy. We enjoyed the three courses very much, but the chef, Duke of Cafe Giovanni was very entertaining with lots of information on the area. The resort also offers a FREE Tuesday wine and cheese tasting event with a piano player for that event as well. None of these events were part of a sales presentation, which was very gratifying.
We did not have any issues with checking in, however, when we asked for an extra hour to checkout to allow our clothes to finishing drying, Shanika was very abrupt and did not initially grant us the one hour extension. The was the first of many encounters with the staff members and the only time that we were not treated well. Every other encounter with the Quarter House staff was pleasant and with immediate gratification.
The resort has a small hot tub and pool in the courtyard. I saw a couple of different people use the facilities, but it was mostly empty all the time. There is a small fitness center and the front desk will print your boarding passes for you. There is WIFI in every room and is FREE. No additional fees were assessed at check-out.
The resort and area is geared to adults even though there were some younger guests around. The French Quarter caters to adults mostly in my opinion and I would not want to take children down Bourbon Street to have beers spilled on them or the visual body parts that are not always the most flattering, in my opinion again.
I bought this timeshare, sight unseen prior to my visit and I am so happy with my purchase. I plan on visiting the resort for the same week next year and just loved the temperature and activities in the area. It is a great resort, great staff with one exception in a great location with an awesome unit.

The best location in the French Quarter. Safe and convenient to everything. Charmingly appointed and quaint courtyard with pool. The staff are super friendly. The rooms are terrific but on last visit needed a bit of updating. My favorite place in the French Quarter.

This is a great resort. It would be a 5 star if they had not been renovating a large number of units when we were there in May 2008. The staff are excellent. There is daily maid service and the renovated rooms are very pleasant. We stayed in a one bedroom which was part of a lock off and it had great amenities and style.
The location is one of the best in New Orleans in the French quarter close to Canal and two blocks from Bourbon St. While the French Quarter survived Katrina very well and is back to normal, take the Katrina bus tour and you can see the extent to which the City was and is still damaged and the efforts to re-build. The food and entertainment are still outstanding.

Quarter House is in great shape since Katrina - if anyone is worried about it - don't be. Most of the same staff is back, the Quarter is back with wonderful food & drinks! The Quarter House is just as good as ever.
We have owned at the Quarter House for 8 years. Traded once for Orlando and it was a major disappointment. We also go to the Quarter House when we are on business in New Orleans and also for long weekends. We will never stay anywhere in New Orleans except the Quarter House. The majority of the staff have been there for years and years and are always extremely friendly and helpful. This is probably one of the best timeshares on the market.
