New Orleans, Louisiana, United States, North America 70116
Jean Lafitte, the notorious pirate and patriot of the Caribbean, is the namesake of this New Orleans locale. The two brick buildings, built in 1831 by Lafitte's fierce captain Rene Beluche, have been completely restored, and living areas have been elegantly furnished. Nestled in the residential area of the French Quarter, Jean Lafitte House provides a quiet spot to swim, soak in the whirlpool, and relax before exploring the rambunctious streets of the Quarter. Numerous shops and restaurants await you just a few blocks away. Take a stroll through Jackson Square or visit the Market.
Sit back and listen to incomparable jazz and blues in the neighborhood watering holes. The Riverfront Streetcar, nearby, runs the entire length of the French Quarter. You will love the history and ambiance of the Jean Lafitte House during your stay.

This is a wonderful resort. They have their own parking lot on the next block which took all the anxiety of parking our car. The resort is just coming out of a total renovation after the hurricane. The courtyard is very quaint. Bathrooms are new as are the kitchens. We liked the glass cooktops because we could see that they were clean. Management was great helping with any request. The neighborhood is really residential with very little tourism and its great. The Frenchman Street entertainment district is two blocks away with a dozen nightclubs and restaurants including Praline Connection. New landscaping in front is lush.
