The Inn at Otter Crest

Kitchens have recently been remodeled with new cabinets and countertops. Furnishings have been updated. The resort landscaping is beautiful with spectacular Rhodydendrons in Spring and early summer, and beautiful shrubs and flowers most of the year. There is a huge sandy beach (unless you are visiting during the highest tide), but our favorite attraction is the tide pools. There are no better tidepools anywhere along the Pacific Coast. Visit during low tide to see sea anemones, chitons, sea stars, crabs, limpets, and other critters. On one visit, I saw a 4-foot octopus moving through the shallow tidepools! There are more modern resorts along the Oregon Coast, but this one has the most spectacular natural scenery. Permits to build this close to a bluff are not allowed for modern buildings. Resorts like Otter Crest are one-of-a-kind.

Excellent resort with spectacular ocean views. The two bedroom lock-off looks to be recently remodeled. Units are nicely decorated and appointed (three digital tv's). Our two bedroom features 2.5 baths and a fireplace - nice place - situated on a bluff, away from traffic.

Very quiet and peaceful Inn on 30 acres of Coastal forrest. Amazing ocean view from cliffs on site, or from nearby Cape Foulweather lighthouse (the weather is not THAT bad). See whales migrate and nature's fury at nearby Devil's Punchbowl State Park, then eat at world famous Mo's (annex) and try out the flying Dutchmann Winery. Very close to amenities in Newport (it's big enough to have almost everything) and Depoe Bay (world's smallest harbor). The Inn does not have much of a "beach"; it is more of a "coastline". Restaurant on site is very good and reasonably priced.

Great location - on a sandy breach with tide pools overlooking the ocean. Quiet natural setting in the woods with the Pacific at your doorstep. Spacious units fully furnished - 2 bedroom loft unit sleeps 10! Pool, hot tubs, rec room, etc. Friendly staff. Lots to do in the Newport - Lincoln City area - beachcombing, shopping, crabbing, fishing, kite flying, casino and the best clam chowder. Great location for families.

The site is as beautiful as any we have seen. The staff is great. The rooms have some deferred maintenance. We would go back any time we could!
